Privacy Policy for Friends&Fences

Last updated: 12 August 2026

Friends&Fences (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our game, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Device and advertising identifiers. With your permission (see “Tracking and Your Choices” below), we and our partners collect device identifiers such as the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) and vendor identifier (IDFV) to measure advertising campaigns and show relevant ads.

Usage and analytics data. We collect information about how you play — sessions, screens viewed, levels started and completed, in-game events and purchases, device model, OS version, language, and approximate region (derived from IP address). This helps us understand how players engage with the game and improve it.

Advertising data. When ads are shown, our advertising partners collect data about ad impressions and interactions (which ads were shown, whether they were viewed or tapped).

Crash and performance data. We collect diagnostic information (crash logs, performance metrics) to keep the game stable.

Purchases. In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive purchase events (product and price) for analytics, but we never see or store your payment details.

What we do NOT collect. The game does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location. The augmented-reality camera feed is processed entirely on your device and is never stored or sent to us. In local multiplayer, a preview image of the scanned room and gameplay data are shared directly with nearby players on your local network only.

Third-Party Partners

We work with the following categories of partners, which may process the data described above under their own privacy policies:

Analytics: AppMetrica (Yandex), GameAnalytics.

Attribution (measuring where installs come from): AppsFlyer, Meta (Facebook SDK).

Advertising: AppLovin MAX and its mediated ad networks, including Google AdMob / Ad Manager, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, ironSource, Mintegral, Pangle, InMobi, Liftoff, DT Exchange, BidMachine, and Moloco.

App services: Firebase (Google) for remote configuration of the game.

Tracking and Your Choices

App Tracking Transparency (iOS). On first launch the game asks for permission to track via Apple’s standard prompt. If you decline, the IDFA is not available to us or our partners. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Consent for personalized ads. In regions where the law requires it (for example, the EEA and UK under GDPR), you will see a consent window where you can accept or manage the use of your data by advertising partners. You can still play the game if you decline; ads may simply be less relevant.

US privacy rights. Where applicable US state laws grant opt-out rights (“Do Not Sell or Share”), you can exercise them through the consent options shown in the game and through iOS tracking settings.

How We Use Your Information

Sharing & Security

Data Retention

We and our partners retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Analytics and advertising partners apply their own retention periods described in their policies.

Children’s Privacy

The game is not intended for children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region); we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You can also reset your advertising identifier or limit tracking in your device settings at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision; material changes will be reflected on this page.
